Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort Policies

Our Resort Policies are put in place to protect the safety and well-being of all.

By making a reservation and staying with us, you agree to abide by the following Resort Rules and Policies:

HTP Resort Policies

HTP Resort Policies:

  • Quiet hours are from 11:00pm – 7:00am and are enforced by our staff. Please be courteous to other guests staying throughout the resort.
  • Please respect the privacy of other guests. Do not walk through occupied campsites!
  • Parents are responsible for the safety and actions of their children.
  • The speed limit throughout the resort is 5mph.
  • Golf Cart drivers must be at least 21 years of age. No riding after midnight.
  • Helmets are required for children under the age of 16.
  • Please do not ride electric scooters inside the campground.
  • Please do not ride skateboards, bicycles, or scooters after dark.
  • Do not leave coolers and/or alcoholic beverages outside overnight.
  • We are not liable for any theft or injuries that may occur during your stay.
  • Underage drinking is prohibited throughout the resort and on the beach. Police patrol both areas throughout the day and night.
  • Washing of vehicles and boats inside the campground is prohibited.
  • Fireworks & firearms are prohibited.
  • Pets are not allowed in the Resort Office, Laundry Room, Bathhouses, Pool Area, Arcade, etc.
  • Please do not destroy or walk on the sand dunes or natural vegetation. Use the walkways to and from the beach.
Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: Camping is an outdoors activity. There are no refunds for weather-related events unless there is a mandatory evacuation of the island.

  • If a reservation is cancelled or changed at any time, you will be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee.
  • If a reservation is cancelled or changed less than 14 days prior to your arrival date, your one-night deposit will be forfeited.
  • If a reservation is cancelled or changed less than 7 days prior to your arrival date, your one-night deposit will be forfeited and you will be charged an additional $50.00 administration fee.
Visitor Policy

Visitor Policy:

If you are expecting visitors during your stay or have people in your party that are arriving late, please advise us at the time of check-in. If you let us know ahead of time, we will leave them an HTP Visitor Pass to pick up when they arrive. If you do not let us know ahead of time, any person(s) arriving after check-in will be considered a visitor and will be subject to the $5.00 fee.

  • Visitors must obtain a Walk-In Pass at the Resort Office. There is a $5.00 deposit per visitor no matter their age. If their stay is less than (1) hour, the deposit will be refunded. If their stay is over (1) hour, the deposit will be forfeited. If you have any questions about our Visitor Policy, please call the Resort Office at 252-354-2250.

Please Note: The Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort is private property. Entrance to the Resort is not allowed without official check-in at the Resort Office. If our staff finds that your visitors have not paid to enter the resort, you will be asked to leave without a refund of your stay.

Pet Policy

Pet Policy:

Pets are welcome at The Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort, but there are a few rules that must be followed to insure a good time and safety for everyone:

  • A $5.00 charge per pet/per night, no matter the size or weight, is required at the time of check-in.
  • PET RESTRICTIONS: NO PIT BULLS
  • Pet owners of larger dogs, ie. German Shepherds, Doberman’s, Great Danes, Rottwilers, etc. are required to sign a waiver in the resort office.
  • Pets are allowed in the full hookup and water & electric sections of the park, but ARE NOT PERMITTED in the no hookup areas (primitive tent sites).
  • Pets must be leased at all times.

In consideration of others, please clean up after your pet(s). This is our #1 guest complaint. Cleaning up after your pet will help all guests feel welcomed and happy. It will also help our park stay clean! At no time should your pet be left unattended. Should the need arise, there is a nearby veterinarian and kennel.

Campsite Rules

Campsite Rules

  • GAS HOT WATER HEATERS ONLY PLEASE!
  • 2′ x 3′ doormats or 5′ x 7′ breathable air mats only, NO RUGS!
  • You are required to use either a Sponge/Rubber Sewer Ring or an E-Z Coupler for all sewer hookups.
  • Ground fires are prohibited on Emerald Isle which means none are allowed on your campsite. However, fire pits that sit at least 2 feet off the ground are allowed.
  • Do not leave coolers and/or alcoholic beverages outside overnight.
  • Please do not place wet clothes or towels on the fences, trees, walls, etc.
  • Please keep your campsite clean and free of trash! We try extremely hard to maintain a clean campground and your help is greatly appreciated.
  • Boats must be parked in the maintenance or storage area. They are not considered your 2nd vehicle.
Golf Cart Rules

Golf Cart Rules

  • Gas and electric golf carts are allowed at The Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort.
  • All golf carts must have a valid parking pass in order to enter the campground and park on the premises. Passes can be obtained in the Resort Office.
  • Golf Cart Passes are $5.00 per day, $25.00 for the week, or $50.00 for the season.
  • If you bring your own golf cart, we require proof of insurance at the time of check-in. We will make a copy to have for our records. No proof of insurance is required for rented golf carts.
  • Golf Cart drivers must be at least 21 years of age. No riding after midnight.
  • The speed limit throughout the resort is 5mph.
Pool Rules

Pool Rules:

  • The pool is open from 9:00am10:00pm.
  • Swim at your own risk. There is no life guard on duty.
  • Parents are responsible for the safety and actions of their children.
  • No pets allowed in the pool area.
  • Smoking is not allowed inside the pool area.
  • Beverages are allowed inside the pool area, however, glass bottles are PROHIBITED.
Trash & Garbage Disposal Rules

Trash & Garbage Disposal Rules:

  • Please use the recycling bins located at the Bathhouses and Dump Station.
  • Please leave your trash beside the road at your campsite before our (2) trash runs. Trash will be picked up at 9:00am and again at 4:00pm.
  • Please do not leave trash outside on your campsite after 5:00pm! Cats, birds, raccoons, and possums would love to dig through your trash and make a huge mess.
  • We are not responsible for disposing of: grills, mattresses, refrigerators, bicycles, tables, beach chairs, empty paint cans, vacuums, etc. If you need to dispose of these items, take them to the county dumpsite at the corner of HWY 58 North and West Firetower Road.
