Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort Policies

Our Resort Policies are put in place to protect the safety and well-being of all.

By making a reservation and staying with us, you agree to abide by the following Resort Rules and Policies:

HTP Resort Policies

HTP Resort Policies:

  • Quiet hours are from 11:00pm – 7:00am and are enforced by our staff. Please be courteous to other guests staying throughout the resort.
  • Please respect the privacy of other guests. Do not walk through occupied campsites!
  • Parents are responsible for the safety and actions of their children.
  • The speed limit throughout the resort is 5mph.
  • Golf Cart drivers must be at least 21 years of age. No riding after midnight.
  • Helmets are required for children under the age of 16 while bike riding.
  • Please do not ride skateboards, bicycles, or scooters after dark.
  • Do not leave coolers and/or alcoholic beverages outside overnight.
  • We are not liable for any theft or injuries that may occur during your stay.
  • Underage drinking is prohibited throughout the resort and on the beach. Police patrol both areas throughout the day and night.
  • Washing of vehicles and boats inside the campground is prohibited.
  • Fireworks & firearms are prohibited.
  • Pets are not allowed in the Resort Office, Wine Market, Laundry Room, Bathhouses, and Pool Area.
  • Please do not destroy or walk on the sand dunes or natural vegetation. Use the walkways to and from the beach.
Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: Camping is an outdoors activity. There are no refunds for weather-related events unless there is a mandatory evacuation of the island. Any reservations cancelled or changed after March 15th, 2019 will be subject to the following:

  • If a reservation is cancelled, moved or shortened at any time, you will incur a $25.00 fee.
  • If a reservation is cancelled or moved less than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will forfeit your deposit.
  • If a reservation is cancelled or moved less than 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will forfeit your deposit and be charged an additional $50.00 administration fee.
  • If a reservation is shortened less than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will incur a $25.00 fee per shortened day.
  • If a reservation is shortened less than 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will incur a $50.00 fee per shortened day.

Check-In & Check-Out Times

Please be aware that check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 12pm (noon) year round. Please check with the Resort Office for availability of early check-in and/or late check-out. There will be a fee of $10 per hour for early check-in and/or late check-out from May 31st – September 2nd.

Campsite Rules

Campsite Rules:

  • 2′ x 3′ doormats or 5′ x 7′ lightweight, breathable mats only, NO HEAVY RUGS!
  • You are required to use either a Sponge/Rubber Sewer Ring or an E-Z Coupler for all sewer hookups. Both of these items are available for purchase in the Resort Office.
  • Ground fires are prohibited on campsites. Fire pits are allowed, but they must be at least 2 feet off the ground.
  • Do not leave coolers and/or alcoholic beverages outside overnight.
  • Please keep your campsite clean and free of trash – including cigarette butts! We try extremely hard to maintain a clean campground resort and your help is greatly appreciated.
  • Boats must be parked in the maintenance or storage area, not on your campsite! They are not considered your 2nd vehicle.
Visitor Policy

Visitor Policy:

If you are expecting visitors during your stay or have people in your party that are arriving after check-in, please advise us at the time of check-in. You are allowed up to a total of (4) people on your site. Any additional people are subject to the $5.00 per visitor per day fee.

  • Visitors must obtain an HTP Visitor Pass in the Resort Office. There is a $5.00 deposit per visitor per day (6 years and older). If their stay is less than (1) hour, the deposit will be refunded. If their stay is over (1) hour, the deposit will be forfeited.

Please Note: The Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort is private property. Entrance to the Resort is not allowed without official check-in at the Resort Office. If our staff finds that your visitors have not paid to enter the resort, you will be charged $25.00 per guest that did not register.

Pet Policy

Pet Policy:

Pets are welcome at the Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort, but there are a few rules that must be followed to insure a good time and safety for everyone:

  • Please pick up after your pet! There are multiple doggie-bag stations located throughout the resort for your convenience.
  • A $5.00 charge per pet per night, no matter the size or weight, is required at the time of check-in for guests with more than 1 pet.
  • Pets must be leased at all times.

In consideration of others, please clean up after your pet(s). This is our #1 guest complaint. Cleaning up after your pet will help all guests feel welcomed and happy. It will also help our park stay clean! At no time should your pet be left unattended. Should the need arise, there is a nearby veterinarian and kennel.

Golf Cart Rules

Golf Cart Rules:

  • Gas and electric golf carts are allowed at the Holiday Trav-L-Park Resort.
  • All golf carts must have a valid parking pass in order to enter the resort and park on the premises. Passes can be obtained in the Resort Office. Golf Cart Passes are $5.00 per day, $25.00 for the week, or $50.00 for the season.
  • If you bring your own golf cart, we require proof of insurance at the time of check-in. Have a copy to hand to our office staff so that we can add it to your account. No proof of insurance is required for rented golf carts.
  • Golf cart drivers must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license in their possession.
  • Operating a golf cart while intoxicated is prohibited. Operators under the influence are subject to a $250.00 fine.
  • Driving golf carts after midnight is PROHIBITED. Be respectful to other campers!
  • The speed limit throughout the resort is 5mph.
Pool Rules

Pool Rules:

  • The pool is open from 9:00am10:00pm.
  • Swim at your own risk. There is no life guard on duty.
  • Parents are responsible for the safety and actions of their children. If you child has to use the bathroom, please do not wait! Do not ruin everyone else’s fun and enjoyment by waiting for an accident to happen in the pool…we will have to shutdown the pool for cleaning if this happens.
  • No pets allowed in the pool area.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the pool area.
  • Glass is prohibited inside the pool area.
Trash & Garbage Disposal Rules

Trash & Garbage Disposal Rules:

  • Please use the recycling bins located at the Bathhouses and Dump Station.
  • Please leave trash beside the road at your campsite. Trash will be picked up at 9:00am and again at 4:00pm each day.
  • Please do not leave trash outside on your campsite after 5:00pm! Cats, birds, raccoons, and possums would love to dig through your trash and make a huge mess.
  • We are not responsible for disposing of: grills, mattresses, refrigerators, bicycles, tables, beach chairs, empty paint cans, vacuums, awnings, etc. If you need to dispose of these items, take them to the county dumpsite at the corner of HWY 58 North and West Firetower Road.
Septic Waste Policy

Septic Waste Policy – Due to the capacity of our septic system:

  • Only use RV toilet tissue.
  • Do not flush feminine products of any kind.
  • Do not flush “flushable” wipes because they are NOT biodegradable, even if they say they are!
  • Do not use garbage disposals.
  • These rules apply to both your RV and our bathhouses. They are both connected to the same system.
